概要
AWS Storage Gatewayは、 オンプレミスのインフラストラクチャとAWSクラウドストレージを接続するハイブリッドクラウドストレージサービスです。ローカル環境とAWS ストレージサービス間のシームレスで安全なデータ転送を可能にし、オンプレミスとクラウドの両方で実行されるアプリケーションに、事実上無制限のクラウドストレージを提供します。
AWS Storage Gateway ファイル共有を使用すると、オンプレミスおよびクラウドアプリケーションから Amazon S3にファイルをオブジェクトとして保存および取得できます。このサービスは、スケーラブルなクラウドストレージを必要とするファイルベースのワークロードに最適です。ファイル共有は以下を提供します。
- Amazon S3とシームレスに統合された安全でスケーラブルなストレージ
- NFSおよびSMBプロトコルをサポートし、簡単にファイルにアクセスが可能
- 頻繁にアクセスされるファイルのローカルキャッシュによりレイテンシーを削減
AWS Storage Gateway ボリュームは、 オンプレミスアプリケーションがiSCSI(Internet Small Computer System Interface)プロトコルを使用してアクセスできるブロックストレージを提供します。このサービスにより、アプリケーションのローカルアクセスを維持しながら、AWS上にストレージボリュームを作成できます。
- キャッシュボリューム:頻繁にアクセスされるデータをローカルにキャッシュしながらAWSにデータを保存し、低レイテンシーのアクセスを実現します。
- 保存ボリューム:スナップショットをAWSに非同期的にバックアップしながら、すべてのデータをオンプレミスで保持します。
これらのサービスを組み合わせることで、組織はオンプレミスのストレージ機能をクラウドに拡張し、スケーラビリティ、信頼性、コスト効率を向上させることができます。

Host Environment | The type of hardware or software platform on which the gateway is running.

EC2 Instance ID | The ID of the Amazon EC2 instance that was used to launch the gateway. |
